AI and the Next 15 Years: Why I’m Excited About What’s Coming

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic idea. It is already shaping how we work, create, and live. Recently, I watched a conversation with Mo Gawdat, former Chief Business Officer at Google X, on The Diary of a CEO. One line stayed with me:

“The next 15 years will be hell before we get to heaven.”

At first, it sounds heavy. But I hear it differently. I hear a challenge and a promise. The challenge is that big changes are coming fast. The promise is that if we adapt, learn, and build with intention, the future can be brighter than we imagine.

Key Lessons I Took Away

AI will soon touch every industry, not only manual jobs but also creative and analytical work. Instead of seeing it as a threat, we should see it as an amplifier that can make us better.
The way AI develops depends on us. It can create inequality if we let a few control it, or it can become a tool that helps solve global problems if we guide it with the right values.
The real opportunity is in freeing humans from repetitive tasks and unlocking more time for creativity, purpose, and connection.

My Personal Reflections

Working in tech, I already see this shift every day. AI does not replace me. It expands what I can do. This motivates me to keep learning, to build projects that matter, and to double down on what makes us human: empathy, creativity, trust.

Watch and Be Inspired

Mo Gawdat explains this journey better than anyone. If you want a real picture of where AI is taking us, I strongly encourage you to watch this episode.

Final Thought

The next 15 years will bring challenges, but also massive opportunities. I believe this is our chance to reinvent how we live and work. If we approach it with curiosity and courage, the heaven Mo talks about is possible.

How do you want to use AI to shape a better future?
